An Overview of Football in 2023

Updated: Jun 10, 2023

Hello Everyone!

The 2023 season is underway with Club Training Day (CTD) on Tuesday afternoons. The goal for CTD is to have all our juniors running and playing football together at TMSA - the very best venue in SE Qld! We are very fortunate and very lucky to have the space and this facility. We hope CTD will help create a great Club Culture - a ‘village’ like atmosphere for all players and parents, coaches and volunteers. Share ideas, have fun and play football! Meet at 4pm and have everyone finished and on their way at 5:30pm.

Beginning next week, we will have our youngest players train in a stand-alone group. The older age groups will progress through the training stations. Players will train in their age groups, but we all train together at the same venue. Most importantly, we train as a club, and we all help each other.

Through the generous support of our sponsors, we will be providing every player with a Full Kit (Shirt, Shorts and Socks) and a Training Kit (Shirt). We require every player to wear the training kit to Club Training Day every Tuesday. Registration prices have not increased from last year and despite significant cost increases, our sponsors have enabled us to keep the registration costs down whilst adding value with a Full Kit and a Training Kit for all players.

For players aged U4 - U7 (born 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016) we are offering a ‘Train and Play’ on Tamborine Mountain Package. 2 x sessions per week. Tuesday 4pm and Saturday 9am (Saturday session begins Saturday 11th February). All players will be registered with Football Queensland for insurance purposes. All players will receive a playing kit and coaching. We will have 2 x groups (4 and 5 years old) and (6 and 7 years old).

Players aged U6 and U7 may also choose to play competition football in the Football Qld Miniroos competition. This package will require players to play matches both home and away (Saturday mornings). Matches will begin in mid-March.

Players aged U8 and older (born in 2015) will play in the Football Queensland competition, which requires players to play matches home and away. Players in this bracket will have additional training sessions aside from CTD.

We have attached a guide to help everyone with the registration process.

Trials for U8 and above will commence on Tuesday 31st of January. Trials will last for 2 x weeks. We will ensure everyone who wants to play football in 2023 has the opportunity to play.

Volunteers - if anyone is looking to help out in any way, please get in contact with Kirsty: tmeaglessecretary@gmail.com. We are a new committee, and we are friendly, we are welcoming, and we want 2023 to be a great season for everyone involved with Tamborine Mountain Eagles Soccer Club.
