Dean Critchlow has overseen the development and growth of the Eagles players skills, coaching and referee programs since he joined the club in 2015. His skills on the football field are matched by his ability to remember the names and faces of all the players. Dean is a much loved coach who literally knows everyone by name at the club.
My playing career began in earnest at Newcastle United F.C. Academy where I spent seven years as both a schoolboy and a full time scholar. Whilst a full time scholar I played for both the Reserve and Under 18’s teams, alongside and against international and Premier League players such as Fraser Forster, Tim Krul, James Triosi, Andy Carroll, Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson.
Having been released by Newcastle United at the age of eighteen I combined my education, coaching and playing, receiving a scholarship at Northumbria University and turning out for a number of teams in the Northern League in England.
